Purpose and legal basis
Dolomiti Travel processes your personal data for the following purposes:
• Sending our newsletter (basis: based on your permission)
• Recording comments on a news item (basis: based on your permission)
• Taking care of the trip for which you have registered (basis: for the purpose of executing an agreement)
Which personal data do we process?
Dolomiti Travel processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process.
For the purpose of the newsletter:
• First and last name
• E-mail address
When leaving a comment:
• First and last name
• E-mail address
At the discretion of organizing a trip for which you have registered:
• First and last name
• Address data
• Email and phone number
• Bank details
If, when registering for a trip, you indicate that you require special needs or attention due to illness, for example, we will also register these (special) personal data. This (special) personal data will be deleted by us within 14 days after the end of the trip.
Other special and/or sensitive personal data that we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old. Unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without this permission, please contact us at info@dolomititravel.nl and we will delete this information.
Automated decision making
Dolomiti Travel does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without involving a person (for example an employee of Dolomiti Travel).
How long do we keep your data?
Dolomiti Travel saves names and e-mail addresses for the purpose of the newsletter. As soon as someone unsubscribes from the newsletter, we delete all data. And of course we delete all data at the request of a data subject. Data as a result of registering and participating in one of our trips will be kept for 7 years after the calendar year in which you participated in a trip. This is a fiscal retention period that we use to comply with our fiscal obligations.
Sharing your data with third parties
Dolomiti Travel shares your personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement and to comply with any legal obligation. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Dolomiti Travel remains responsible for these processing operations. Of course we do not sell your data to third parties.
At the moment, Dolomiti Travel only shares names and e-mail addresses with MailerLite for the purpose of sending out the newsletter and with Stichting Derdengelden Certo Escrow for the implementation of the mandatory guarantee scheme for package travel.
Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use
Dolomiti Travel only uses functional cookies for the proper functioning of the website.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Dolomiti Travel and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@dolomititravel.nl.
To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

How we protect personal data
Dolomiti Travel takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service or via info@dolomititravel.nl. Dolomiti Travel has taken the following measures to protect your personal data:
• Security software, such as a virus scanner and firewall.
• TLS (formerly SSL) We send your data via a secure internet connection. You can see this by the address bar 'https' and the padlock in the address bar.
• Encryption of all data stored within Dolomiti Travel.
