    Alta Via #2

    DifficultyDifficult

The Alta Via delle Dolomiti are multi-day hut hikes that run right through the Dolomites. We hike the first 5 stages of the Alta Via 2 from mountain hut to mountain hut. Less known than the Alta Via 1, but certainly no less spectacular. On average we hike 5-7 hours a day including breaks. Technically, the hiking tour over the Alta Via 2 is not difficult, although we use steel cables for support in a number of places.

    DifficultyBeginners

Once a year we organize a few days in our own mountain hut in Oberstdorf for family, friends, acquaintances and other mountain enthusiasts. Every day we organize a hiking tour somewhere around Oberstdorf. Often with quite a few altimeters. But you decide for yourself whether you want to go or not. If you want to walk around Oberstdorf for some shopping or do something completely different... that's fine too!

This short hut tour starts and ends in Cortina d'Ampezzo. We walk for 5 days through the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park, of which 2 days through the huge open-air museum of the Lagazuoi and Cinque Torri. With trenches, tunnels and barracks from the First World War. The last days we walk back to Cortina via the Passo Giau (for cycling enthusiasts) and the picturesque Lago de Federa.

  • Our mountains and our huts

With a love for the Dolomites, we started hiking and mountain tours in the Dolomites. But of course there are many more beautiful places in the European mountains. And we will expand our offer in the coming years with trips and mountain tours to other parts of the Alps.

We prefer to sleep in authentic mountain huts. But that is not convenient for all trips. For example, from 2022, photography trips and trips for dog lovers will be organized from a fixed location. But that doesn't make it any less beautiful!

  • Our mountain tours

All our tours are suitable for anyone with a reasonable fitness level. They are also not technically difficult. It's about being physically active in a beautiful and special environment. And... in the end it's all about de-stressing, relaxing and enjoying!

In addition to hut tours, we also have mountain trips that focus on photography, or mountain trips especially for people with a dog. But also mountain trips where we hike from a fixed location.

  • Our team and our guests

Actually, the people from our team and our guests are very similar. We all love hiking, physical exertion and nature (especially the mountains). And although we also like to go into the mountains alone, we think there is nothing more beautiful than making other people enthusiastic about the Alps and the Dolomites.

Our guests are very diverse. We have participants who sometimes want to make a strenuous hut tour, but also participants who, together with other dog lovers, want to go into the mountains with their dog.

  • How to get to your destination

With all our tours you will receive a route description from us to the location where the tour starts. Of course you can come by car, but we have always worked out for you how to get to the starting point by train. And if necessary, we will pick you up at the station.
